Alexa Burdick, LPC, NCC

I'm a therapist, and I am also a complicated, messy, beautiful human being who is working to figure 'it' out (and I am guessing you are too)! With this humanistic approach, I truly believe that you have the power to be the best version of you, and my role is to be with you on your journey to finding what that means for you-not what society, or your family or the hustle culture thinks it should mean. My favorite thing about being a therapist is celebrating YOU!

I love working with adults who are addressing sexuality, self esteem and trauma. I love working with clients who are neuro-spicy (ADHD/Autistic). I am training to becoming an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist-so let's talk about curiosity, consent, communication and pleasure! If you experience pain or performance anxiety, let's work together to come up with a plan of action. Religious trauma? Let's get into the messages that you have heard and explore what they mean for you. Exploring kink? Let's talk about how to incorporate SSC (Safe, Sane, Consensual) and RACK (Risk- Aware Consensual Kink).

I view clients' situations from an attachment lens, meaning we will look at early attachments and consider patterns that show up for you currently. I often incorporate CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy), mindfulness, artsy things, and a whole bunch of humor (Please show me all the memes!)

We will laugh, maybe cry, set boundaries, explore messages, feel the feelings, and I will do my absolute best to help you connect with your favorite version of you. Reach out and let's see if we have a good vibe!
